The former England international has remained out of action since last March due to a groin injury that he suffered while playing for Besiktas on loan. On Friday, Everton boss Sean Dyche confirmed that the player underwent surgery on his groin and has now been ruled out of action for a longer period.
Dele recently shared a motivational post on social media and revealed that he is focused on the recovery process and is working hard to make a comeback soon.

Taking to Instagram, the English player shared a series of photographs of him working on his recovery with the caption, "Focused on the process. Working on me."
One of his posts also read: "You have a wonderful journey ahead of you. Enjoy every single step as you create your path."

The former Tottenham star's loan spell in Turkey last season did not go as per plan as he managed to clock only 868 minutes on the pitch across the entire campaign. He last played a competitive game on February 26, 2023, against Antalyaspor in the Super Lig.

With Dele's contract with Everton expiring next summer, it is unlikely that the player will play for the Toffees in a competitive game again. The last time he played for the Merseyside club was on August 13, 2022, against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
