Rangers returned to winning ways in the Scottish Premiership as the Ibrox-based side endured a nervy encounter on Sunday afternoon but managed to narrowly come out on top.
Steven Gerrard’s men defeated Ross County 1-0 to move to within 13 points of the league leaders with winger Ryan Kent snatching the winner 13 minutes from time.
Gers came into this having endured back-to-back defeats – crashing out of the Scottish Cup and falling further adrift from Celtic at the top of the SPFL standings.
Fans of the club were left reeling by the performance of stand-in skipper Connor Goldson.
Here’s what has been said…
The 27-year-old was blasted for being “absolutely horrific” at defending while others labelled him a “calamity” as well as “slow and ponderous”.
One supported claimed he looked like a nervy youngster at the back, probably not a good thing from someone who was the captain for the afternoon.

Which has led to further criticism over the centre-back…
“Absolute bombscare” as his defending is “amateurish” whilst one fan claimed Goldson wasn’t a leader.
As in the above reactions, a further member of the Gers faithful wants the defender’s contract terminated.
It has also led to the belief that he’s one of the manager’s ‘favourites’ as he has seemingly been rewarded with the armband despite a poor run of form.
