Bellingham is closer to returning to action for Real Madrid after landing in Spain on Tuesday. The 21-year-old was afforded an extended break after starting every game for England at Euro 2024, with the Three Lions reaching the final of the tournament in Germany.

The 21-year-old was afforded more than three weeks to recover from a lengthy 2023-24 campaign in which Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid also reached the Champions League final. While his club team-mates travelled to the United States for their pre-season tour, Bellingham enjoyed a more relaxed Stateside trip that included stays in Los Angeles and Miami, where he bumped into Sergio Aguero, went to a theme park with Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold and linked up with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr.

Holidays over, Bellingham posted a photo of himself on Instagram after landing in Madrid. 'Home' was the message as the former Borussia Dortmund man prepares for his sophomore campaign in the Spanish capital.

According to , Bellingham will join Real's pre-season preparations on Wednesday (August 7). Los Blancos take on Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14 and kickstart the defence of their La Liga campaign against Mallorca four days later.
